North Haven Real Estate
And coming in at number 86 on the “Best Places to Live” by Money Magazine is…North Haven, Connecticut! That’s right- North Haven is yet another town in Connecticut that combines the convenience of living near a city (ten minutes from downtown New Haven) with the charm of a quaint New England town.
You’ll also find many historical New England buildings, like this one on the border of Hamden in North Haven.
North Haven has about 24,000 people and is mostly a town of residential neighborhoods and middle-class families. However, there is a section of businesses including a new shopping plaza with such conveniences as Target and restaurants like Ruby Tuesday and Friendly’s.
The town is situated in such a way that you can get to the shoreline of Long Island Sound in about ten driving miles. North Haven gives you easy access to I-91 and Rt. 15, as well, which can take you down to the shore or all the way up to Massachusetts.
Things continue to get better for North Haven, as well, as Quinnipiac University (which is in nearby Hamden) is planning on building a large graduate center in town. This should attract many more young families to the area and continue the growth of the town. You’ll also find Sleeping Giant State Park nearby, which is a great destination for New England outdoor fun.
